FAQ

We have true one-on-one treatment sessions where you get undivided attention from your therapist. You will see the same 1 or 2 clinicians every time so that your session is effective and efficient. We seek to become part of the community. We don’t just want to see you for your visit and part ways, we want to become part of our family.

Please call our office at the location of your preference with the provider of your choice to set up an initial evaluation. We pride ourselves on being able to get you in for your evaluation 24-48 hours after your initial call.

Before your initial evaluation, you’ll need to fill out the new patient paperwork. We would like to get to know you and learn how we can better serve you! Please download and fill out the new patient paperwork. We also have a wellness release for individuals who are not coming in for medical treatment but for fitness or performance.

Actually, no. Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois are direct-access states. That means that you DO NOT need a referral from your physician to attend physical therapy, unless you are covered under Medicare or sometimes Medicaid.

As a patient, you can go wherever you want for physical therapy. It is your choice. We are ready and want to do everything we can to get you better, including referring you to someone else if we think you need it.

If it is not an emergency, we believe in therapy first. Research supports this. Seeing a physical therapist before a doctor has been shown to decrease the money you spend and the time it takes to get better. We are movement specialists who can help you determine your next step, whether that’s therapy or another specialty. If you aren’t sure, you can always call our office and we will help you from there

Please come to your initial evaluation 15 minutes early. At that time you’ll meet your provider, who will get an idea of why you’re coming in and make a plan of care with you to help you meet your goals. We’ll also make sure to help you understand your insurance benefits at this time. You can expect your visit to last around 40-60 minutes.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and access to the body region we will be assessing. We have private treatment rooms available if you’d prefer a private room.

We’d like for you to bring your insurance card, completed patient paperwork (if you printed it), operative note (if applicable), referral (if applicable), a list of medications, and a list of your prior surgical procedures and/or medical history.

Our therapy sessions usually last around 40 minutes to an hour.

We accept all major insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid (except in IL). We also provide cash-based services for performance enhancement, wellness services, and nutritional advising. We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. We also have self-pay options available for both physical therapy and chiropractic care.

Morgan Weinzapfel, DPT at our Newburgh location, is specifically trained to perform running evaluations. This includes gait analysis through video, running correctives, and education. She spends 45 minutes to 1 hour with each person. If you are having pain during running, we can justify these sessions being covered by insurance. However, if you want an evaluation to improve performance, it’ll be a $90 flat rate.

No! You’re coming to us because you have pain. We want to help you feel better. Sometimes certain techniques may be uncomfortable, but they should not hurt, and they should help you feel improvement after. If you are anxious, let your therapist know. We want to work with you to help you feel your best!

You’ll complete your episode of care, which will look a little different for everyone. Your provider will set out a plan of care for you based on your initial evaluation, continual reassessment of your progress, and how you respond to treatment. You’ll establish a relationship so you can communicate with your provider freely regarding what the best course of care is for you.

After you’ve completed your episode of care, tell your friends! If you are excited about your provider and the results that you achieved during your sessions with us, we would love for you to spread the word. We want you to be so excited about your results that you cannot help but tell others!

Lastly, we recommend coming in for a check-up. We are your musculoskeletal specialists and believe in providing good care for you and your family throughout your lifespan. Just like taking in your car for maintenance regularly or having an instrument tuned, your body can benefit greatly from regular care and upkeep through RPI’s licensed movement experts. Yearly wellness visits are encouraged to make sure you are continuing to move well and prevent any further injury.
